Why we are better

OUR VALUES AND TEAM

Refuge is actively engaged in becoming a not-for-profit charity.

Our staff are trained, supervised and supported - we support them in the same way as you do for yours.

All staff have an annual personal training budget to spend.

Unlike most other supported accommodation providers, our home is licensed as a House of Multiple Occupancy meaning you can be reassured of independent inspection and safety.

Our staff are not recruited from within our own family and friendship circle - we follow a competitive recruitment providing equal opportunity to all.

We recognise the necessity of 'whistle blowing', so all staff are given contact details for LADO interventions and trained in this process.
DOCUMENTATION

Our written documents are available translated into Sorani, Pashtu, Tigrinya, Amharic, Somali, Arabic and Vietnamese.

Dedicated key work as dictated by the individual progression of the care pathway – we do not place a limit of the support hours that any young person can receive.

Our homes are of the highest material standard and fully furnished - all bedrooms have double beds and TVs.

We are fully insured - your young person's possessions, the building and all necessary insurances are fully covered.
